A lifestyle dedicated to improving performance

A lifestyle dedicated to improving physical performance is something the Company’s founder Alex Birks, knows well. As a former boxer holding multiple Scottish titles — breaking his tibia, tearing his ACL and damaging his meniscus was a tough blow.

Frustrated with the time taken to return to peak performance after completing rehabilitation, Alex began interacting with sports professionals, seeking to improve his situation. He was introduced to the incredible benefits of BFR training.

Interested to learn more about who was using BFR training, Alex began talking to other sports professionals where he learnt that 70% did not utilise BFR training regularly because existing equipment was inadequate. Further market research shows that less than 5% of performance focussed fitness enthusiasts utilise BFR training at all.

Determined to globalise the use of BFR training, the Company are working with professionals in the top level of UK sport to develop the Suji-System™. The system gives users peace of mind that BFR is being employed safely and effectively. Excited to share the performance enhancing results Alex now trains with CrossFit athletes and gives advice on BFR to assist their mission of improving performance.

“The benefits of BFR training are incredible. Low uptake is a result of poor equipment and lack of defined use cases. The Suji-System™ solves these problems, which is important because (as clinical literature shows) BFR training here to stay and should be made accessible to everyone.”
